DR. MED. UNIV. KATJA SCHLEMITZ
"Together more than 4.000 land-based and 300 air-based rescue missions!"
I grew up in Carinthia, in the south of Austria. I studied medicine on the University of Vienna, where I first came in contact with acupuncture. During my studies of sports and exercise I had the chance to learn a lot about functional training and massage. I My interest of learning more than thought at my studies lead me to nutritional medicine and chiropractic.
The big WOW came when Dr. Ivan Ramsak inspired me for Applied Kinesiology/Functional Myodiagnostics. From this moment on I had the possibility to combine all my medical knowledge to a big picture.
During my work as an emergency doctor I how close together life and death might be.
As a result of some luck I got the chance to takeover the practice of Dr. Elisabeth Schiner, who was the first one to combine academic and complementary medicine. I try to continue her work with my additional knowledge of preventive and exercise medicine for the well-being of my patients.
